The days are getting hotter. We had a sports night at the church this week. It gave an opporutnity for a lot of people to come meet us and see the church. It made people realize that we aren't weird and that our church isn't weird at all. Everyone here plays football (soccer). My first instinct with balls is my hand but their instinct is feet. But we did play basketball at my expense. Everyone just stood awkwardly hahahahaha ohhh those Brits. But I get to teach a girl named Emma and Danielle tonight. We are gonna explain to them the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. Probably the most spiritual lesson you can give. Can't wait! Definitely what makes this mission possible! Hope everything is cool in Arkansas (no one here knows where that is)
Love,

Dear Battles family,
The plane ride over was long and dreadful. I finally arrived and it's gonna be an amazing and very hard two years. I have the absolutely best trainer. His name is Elder Watt and he's from Scotland. Hes awesome. I have been knocking on doors and getting rejected and made fun of. It's great! We have an apointment to teach tomorrow from a door knock which is super rare. Most everything comes from refferals. Im in Lincoln. It's famous for having a huge castle and huge cathedral. This saturday we are gonna go attend a mass. We just ate with the sister missionaries who are super cool. ones from utah and the other is slovakian. I am very very tired from the jet lag but its been fun. We have a DA that we have to walk to so ill email you on monday. just wanted to say i love everyone and it's going to be a fun hard working two years. Expect miracles and they will happen, doubt not fear not!!

FIRST LETTER!!
Guess what, Elder Battles' first letter arrived, and not a moment too soon! His P-Day (preparation day) is Wednesday so we were hoping we wouldn't just have to wonder if he arrived safely or not so thankfully he wrote and this is what he had to say!
Dear Battles Family,
I arrived at the MTC at 1:00 and it was a little eye opening. I have all of my things, badge and name tag, planner. My companion is great! He's a Utah boy. His name is Elder Davis. My whole room of boys are awesome. I met our District which consisted of the girls. The girls are way awesome. They love to cry a lot. People really like my last name by the way. The food isn't bad. We had chicken fried steak. We then had teh most crazy experience. They put us in 3 rooms where missionaries spoke to investigators. It humbled us and showed us how we don't know a lot. The only way to become a successful missionary is by relying on the Holy Ghost. That the spirit will reveal what to say to them. It showed that I can't relate to a man who has lost his legs and can't walk but I can testify of the Love his Heavenly Father has for his children. These two years are going to freaking hard. IT'S WORK. But I'm enjoying it a lot. Hope everything's going well. I also found out I'm District Leader and I am also in the choir so watch for me at Priesthood session.
Love you guys!
